ABOUT CHI SIGMA OMEGA

Chi Sigma Omega is a local sorority at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). We were officially founded on January 11, 2010 by our elders in order to promote service and leadership to the community throughout the Chicagoland area. We have over 60 active sisters and countless alumni. We are proud to be a sorority filled with kind, energetic, intelligent and dedicated women. In both 2017 and 2019, we are proud to announce that Chi Sigma Omega has won Sorority of the Year.

PURPOSE

Chi Sigma Omega wishes to make the University of Illinois-Chicago’s Greek Life come alive more than it already is. On campus, we strive to be leaders and organizers. We want each member of our sorority to find a new version of their beings: to grow into themselves, become who they’ve always wanted to be, and be ready to face the challenges the world has to offer during and after college.

We will triumph over self-doubt and insecurity, and embrace our new selves. We vow to remain caring, loving individuals who constantly strive to improve ourselves; all the while cherishing the friendships we form. Leadership courses through our veins. We inhale with confidence and exhale a breath of poise before we make our move. Through our hard work, we want to uphold the promise to make our community stronger. Ultimately, we have the power of teamwork on our side. We will leave a legacy, we will lend a helping hand, and we will be heard.
